Your Porsche comes with a clock on the dash to help you keep track of time as you are driving to work or home. Sometimes the clock can be off for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you have just been to our dealership and after the Porsche technical team has reset the electricals, you might find that your clock is back to the default time. You may also be living in a state where there is daylight saving time during certain seasons so you have to keep adjusting the clock at different points of the year. No matter the reason why you need to adjust your Porsche dash clock, here are the steps to get this done.

Safety First

You should never attempt to undertake this process while driving the car. If you need to adjust your Porsche's clock, ensure that you have pulled over onto the curb or do it before you set off on your journey. Ensure that you have the gear in 'Park' and that the parking brake is on.

Step One

Depending on the type of Porsche that you drive, you need to find the rotary knob lever that is on your steering wheel (multi-functional type). If your steering wheel is not multi-functional, there will be a lever located on the lower side (right) of the steering wheel column. This also controls the display on the dashboard.

Step Two

Press the rotary knob down which is the equivalent of pressing enter. The dash screen will immediately change to give you a list of options. By rolling the knob upwards, scroll upwards on the menu commands. Rolling the knob downwards produces the reverse effect. If you are operating the lever below the steering, pushing the lever towards the dash opens up the menu. Moving it downwards scrolls the menu downwards and moving it upwards produces the reverse effect.

Step Three

Scrolling upwards will bring a command named 'Vehicle'. Select the model of your vehicle by pressing enter on the lever or the rotary knob. This will then bring you another list of commands and scroll until you find one marked 'Settings.' Press this to confirm.

Step Four

Under setting will be an option marked 'Date &Time'. Select that by pressing enter. The next step will be to select DST or Summer Time. You can then select the exact time that you want to adjust your Porsche dash clock to. If your interface is different from what is described here, get in touch with Porsche Princeton and our team will guide you through the process.
