2022 Porsche 911 vs. 2022 Toyota Supra

There are a lot of things that describe the powerful 2022 Porsche 911. Despite using twin-turbo flat six engines for all models, expect variety in terms of results. It is lavishly designed inside and sporty outside – a fusion that defines the best luxury sports car.

For the 2022 Toyota Supra, it combines balanced ride and handling with punchy engines. It also promises you noteworthy features inside. It now has the A91-CF Edition included in its list of offerings.

Design & Style

The Porsche 911 has a lot of updates in terms of design in its interior, the most notable of which is the inclusion of a large center cupholder. It also carries a digital gauge cluster to deviate from the usual analog instruments found in the dash. The ride is comfortable as it is opulent. It has supportive front seats, plus the driver can make adjustments via the steering wheel. There is enough to sit four in the sports car.

The 2022 Supra is gifted with soft-touch materials inside its two-door coupe. Unlike the 911, it only sits up to two people inside. Despite that seating configuration, there is still a problem with blind spots that can cause some trouble when you are driving along bumpy areas or tough terrains.

Technology & Safety

One of the new things to expect in the list of technologies for the 911 is the inclusion of a wireless Apple CarPlay, though it still uses the wired version for the Android Auto. There is a Wi-Fi hot spot too, plus you have a choice between the one carrying the 12-speaker Bose audio, or the 13-speaker Burmester setup. Adding to its great list of features is a 10.9-inch sitting on the middle of the dashboard. For safety, you get to enjoy automated emergency braking, forward collision warning, night vision, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high-beams.

The 2022 Supra uses an 8.8-inch display with its supra Command infotainment setup. This one includes functions that are the same as the BMW’s iDrive system. A separate touchpad is used to control functions for the setup. It does not support Apple CarPlay for its base trim, though. Safety wise, its standard inclusions are the pedestrian function and lane keep assist.

Performance

All 911 models carry the twin-turbo flat-six-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine which can result in 379 horsepower for the base Carrera, 443 horsepower for the S variant, and 473 horsepower for the GTS model. That of the turbo-four engine in the base version of the Supra yields 255 horsepower, while its six-cylinder version scores only up to 382 horsepower.

The Bottom Line

You will appreciate the 2022 Porsche 911 for its charming yet authentic sporty look. Add to that, it never fails in terms of features too. It also has powerful engine choices. All of these make the 2022 Toyota Supra bow down to it.
