If you are looking for one flawless sports car, you will never go wrong choosing the 2022 Porsche 911. This is one that is versatile and immersive because of the inclusion of the iconic two plus two seats in the front and back rows. Now joining the family is the GTS trim level which is offered in three different body styles.
When it comes to the 2021 Acura NSX, wait to be mesmerized by a great engine. This sports car does not have major changes when compared to its 2020 edition though.
Design & Style
One of the things that Porsche has mastered when it comes to the 911 is the sophisticated look. It focuses on that rather than complicating the interiors with other things. Now, it also comes fitted with a large center cupholder. It has supportive front seats and the steering wheel can be adjusted to the comfort of the driver as well.
In the case of the 2021 NSX, there is only about 3.9 cubic feet of cargo space which is not a good thing. This means you will only be able to carry small shopping bags at the back. Seating two people, the seats are comfortable with its side bolsters. The cabin is handsome, but there is nothing extraordinary with its styling.
Technology & Safety
One of the good things you will notice in the 2022 edition of the 911 is the inclusion of a 10.9-inch touch screen situated right in the middle of the dash. Now, it also features voice commands and other buttons which can be navigated via the steering wheel. There is a rotary push-button control setup with the car’s console. It gives you two speaker options – both carrying surround-sound systems. It has wired Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Safety wise, it features automatic high beams, night vision, and blind spot monitoring, as well as automated emergency braking and forward collision warning.
In the case of the Acura, it is frustrating that its technology does not meet expectations for a luxury ride. Menus are overly complicated plus the infotainment system lacks the functionalities found in other vehicles it is competing with. It uses a seven-inch touch screen to integrate features like the Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and two USB ports. It falls short in terms of safety features since it only has corner and rear parking sensors, brake assist, and a rearview camera. There is no option to upgrade to include other advanced safety features.
The rear-mounted engine of the 911 is a 3.0-liter flat-six-cylinder, twin-turbo setup which gives it up to 379 horsepower for the base model. Other high-end models can release up to 473 horsepower. In the case of the NSX, its V6 engine is combined with three electric motors to produce 573 horsepower.
The Bottom Line
The 2022 Porsche 911, just like its predecessors, does not disappoint in terms of features. It is definitely a must try if you are into the world of luxury sports cars.
