2021 Porsche Cayenne vs. 2021 Audi Q7

A luxury midsize SUV, the 2021 Porsche Cayenne is really catching a lot of attention these days. This is because of its top-notch and generously-spaced cabin. It also has plenty of standard features to offer to its avid followers. There are potent engines from its trim lineup, and the GTS trim has been reintroduced too.

The 2021 Audi Q7 also boasts of powerful engines with its well-balanced ride. It is praised for its high-class cabin and long list of technology features.

Design & Style

The 2021 Cayenne is a lavish car with all the great design and style elements that you want. It is available in the standard SUV body type, as well as a coupe configuration. Both are ready to accommodate five passengers. You get upscale materials inside with leather upholstery coming as a standard. Front seats have eight-way power adjustments.

Just like the Cayenne, the Audi Q7 has eight-way power-adjustable front seats. This comes with a seven-seating capacity, but the third row is best left for kids instead of adults. The ride has leather-upholstered and heated front seats.

Technology & Safety

The 2021 Porsche Cayenne is proud to offer the best technology for its users. It has the Porsche Communication Management infotainment system that uses a 12.3-inch touch screen display. It flawlessly integrates Apple CarPlay, and has other features like the navigation system, four USB ports, Bluetooth, 10-speaker audio, and satellite radio. Among its standard safety features are the rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors.

The Q7, on the other hand, is blessed with the MMI infotainment system. This one has two screens – one is the 8.6-inch lower touch screen and the other is a 10.1-inch upper touch screen. It comes with the Audi Virtual Cockpit. Due to the abundance of features, many are a bit confused with how the system works. It takes quite a learning curve getting familiar with them. For your safety, it has the blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert via the Audi Pre Sense Rear, and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking via the Audi Pre Sense Front.

The 2021 Cayenne has several engine choices starting from the base V6, 3.0-liter engine that aspirates 335 horsepower. There is the twin-turbo engine that generates 434 horsepower. Under the hood of the Cayenne Turbo is a V8, 4.0-liter that results in 541 horsepower.

The base Q7, meanwhile, has a turbo-four engine for 248 horsepower. There is another variant, the V6, which yields 335 horsepower.

The Bottom Line

Despite trying hard to be at par with the 2021 Porsche Cayenne, the 2021 Audi Q7 lacks the charm, and power of its rival. This makes the Cayenne a true winner in this battle.
